System > Administration > Hardware Drivers

Download, install and activate "NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 96)"
[version 96.43.13 actual 29.08.2009]

Then, create /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Now you can configure your display.

Visual Effects "Normal" and "Extra" are selectable, but produce corrupt display output. Use "None". To forbid these options, add this to xorg.conf:
